Kara Legako

Kara Legako has been an interior designer since completing her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the GIbbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma in 2004. After working as a designer on both commercial residential projects for firms in both Florida and Texas, she formed Kara Legako Design in 2016 with her sister Kate. Notable commercial ventures include hotels, restaurants, assisted living facilities, and many other healthcare projects. Her residential portfolio includes all facets of the design process from new builds, remodels, expansions, and beyond. Kara assists her clients through a collaborative process of merging their unique vision with a designer’s expertise for knowing what a space needs. Whether it’s a primary residence or a second home, Kara is able to translate a client’s wants and needs into a space that is just for them.

Kate Legako

Upon graduating from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma with a degree in business marketing in 2007, Kate moved to Dallas and began a career in fashion retail and styling. She joined Kara as she formed Kara Legako Design in 2016 and merged her love of fashion and design with a new found passion of residential and commercial design. Together they have enjoyed forming relationships with their clients and vendors to bring their designs, and the hopes of their clients, to life. In 2021, Kate became a licensed real estate agent to assist their network of clients through the process of buying and selling their homes.
